How we send parts, engines and gearboxes, and what you need to know about insurance and transport.

Parcels & small parts

Standard parcels and small parts are sent by courier on a typical 3–5 working-day service, depending on the item and destination. We are working on speeding this up where possible. You will receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched.

Please inspect your parcel on delivery and report any damage or missing items within 24 hours so we can raise it with the courier.

Engines & gearboxes

Engines and gearboxes are large, heavy items that must travel on a palletised courier service. We can arrange delivery on your behalf, but the cost is charged to you and will be quoted before despatch.

Typical pallet delivery within England ranges from £59.00 + VAT to £99.00 + VAT, depending on postcode, size and weight. Deliveries to Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and offshore addresses may cost more. We will confirm the exact price before booking the courier.

Engines and gearboxes must be checked on receipt and any fault or damage reported within 14 days of delivery.

Insurance cover

Our carrier provides standard industry cover only. This is capped at approximately £1.30 to £1.50 per kilogram of the gross shipment weight. For example, a 500 kg pallet would be insured for a maximum of £650 to £750.

Enhanced or full-value cover is not available through our carrier. If your engine or gearbox is worth more than the standard cover limit, you must book your own courier to be fully covered. If you choose to use our courier, you accept full responsibility for any loss or damage in transit.

Damage does not happen regularly, but it does occur, and pallets can go missing occasionally. If you are concerned about full-value protection, the safest option is to arrange your own insured transport.

Arranging your own courier

You are welcome to arrange your own collection and delivery. This lets you choose a carrier and insurance level you are comfortable with. We will make the engine or gearbox ready for collection on a pallet, and your courier must be able to collect from a commercial workshop address.

Customers have reported good service from Pallet2Ship and National Pallets for engine and gearbox deliveries. Please note that many pallet networks use the same underlying national delivery lines, so it is worth comparing price, service level and insurance cover.

Our responsibility

Aircooled Hut UK Ltd accepts no responsibility for loss or damage during transportation. Once the goods leave our workshop, risk passes to you or your chosen carrier. Any claim for loss, damage or delay must be made with the courier directly.

If you have any concerns about cover, the safest option is to arrange your own insured transport.

Collection from the workshop

You are also welcome to collect your order from our workshop in Forest Town, Mansfield. Please arrange a convenient time in advance, as we do not operate a public showroom and visits are by appointment only.
