What's in a Type 1 long block

• New or fully reconditioned crankcase, line-bored and balanced
• Crankshaft, flywheel, pressure plate and pulley dynamically balanced
• Connecting rods reconditioned with new shells
• New piston & cylinder kit (size to your spec)
• Fully refurbished or new cylinder heads
• New cam, lifters, pushrods and timing gear
• Assembled, sealed, and pressure-tested

Every build, properly tested

Every build is hand built by a professional engine builder. We leak down test, oil pressure & cylinder compression is checked. Hot run for 30 minutes to break in the engine, and check for oil leaks before dispatch. We use quality components throughout for unmatched reliability, with no reused parts compromising the engine's integrity.

All of our engines are blueprinted, with bearing clearances set, piston & ring measurements, end play, little ends etc. checked and set. Compression ratio raised to match the chosen camshaft & a forged dynamically balanced rotating assembly to ensure long life and maximum power.

Great aftersales service and a minimum of 12 months unlimited miles warranty you can rely on should you have any problems down the road. There is no guess work here, just built right. Because we hate warranty returns just as much as you do!

All our engines are suitable for unleaded fuel, and supplied with remaining engine gasket kit, and flywheel fitted. All engine build prices are plus VAT.

All Bearing clearances are checked and set.
Piston rings gapped.
Flywheel end play set.
Leak down test & compression test done to ensure the engine works perfectly.
